Public Input On Public Art in GWS

In November 2019, the City of Glenwood Springs selected Ohio-based firm Designing Local to develop a comprehensive Public Art Plan. The plan will shape policies for: • Acquiring, commissioning, and placing new art; • Preservation and restoration of historical artwork; and • Asses public art collection for gaps and opportunities Public engagement is vital to the success of the Public Art Master Plan. Community members are encouraged to take a short survey to help us understand: • The types of public art desired • Ideal locations • Missing gaps • What makes Glenwood Springs public art unique The Survey is open through FEBURARY 28, 2021. All materials are available in English and Spanish. Survey / Encuesta English:

“Last year was a very difficult one for Glenwood Springs. We hope that the Public Art Master Plan effort will be one component of the rebuilding effort for the city. Public art has the potential to improve the quality of life for our residents and visitors,” said Parks and Recreation Director Brian Smith.
